Cebon Group was founded in 1986 in Gothenburg and is today a group of companies that operate brands and businesses within security and energy solutions. Headquartered in Gothenburg, Cebon works mainly towards the European market but with a global reach.
Zhipster has been privileged to work with GPBM Nordic and Sparq Technology, two companies in the Cebon Group. Both companies use Zhipster Enterprise integrated with the ERP system for shipping bookings. Mainly in the Nordic countries and Italy but also in other European countries. At the moment, they are also in the starting stages of activating Zhipster invoice matching, where expectations are high, partly to streamline the attestation process itself but above all to identify any incorrect invoicing.
We had a conversation with Cathrin Lindström who works at Cebon Group.
How did you work with transport before working with Zhipster?
We used an older TA system, which we had for over 25 years. A relatively static solution, with only customizations requested by us, hence we worked in a fairly reactive environment. The system worked as it should but it was not as easy to work for the users and we also only had basic functionality.
Has Zhipster solved any problems for Cebon Group?
Zhipster has solved so that our receipt of packed orders and shipping bookings flow in a much more automated and transparent flow. In addition, we have significantly better control over the freight and can easily manage all our customers' unique requirements regarding the choice of forwarder, among other things.
There is a saying in the industry that as much as up to 10% of the invoice value from freight forwarders is incorrect and too high. So if Zhipster invoice matching helps us reach only 2— 3% of that value, we would be very happy.
What are your biggest challenges with booking transportation?
It is to reduce the number of validation errors on delivery addresses when we send to private individuals (our drop shipment service for our B2B customers). Often we do not receive complete or incorrect addresses and phone numbers, which requires manual application.
What do you think of the future of e-commerce?
For our part, we believe that it will become a bigger part of our logistics as we offer more and more dropshipping solutions for our customers across the Nordic region, but also in our other markets in Europe.
How does the collaboration with Zhipster work?
I think the collaboration works very well. We get great support and Zhipster are very responsive to our needs.
