Nowaste Logistics, as the name suggests, works with logistics. But they are more than a provider of customized logistics solutions, they offer high-quality and innovative third-party logistics and have the vision to continue challenging the industry. Nowaste Logistics has extensive experience in several different segments and develops its own automation solutions that are at the forefront.

Understanding the importance of logistics is central and also a reason why Nowaste Logistics AB became its own company. Until 2008 Nowaste was the logistics department of Everfresh but after showing good results the department became its own company.

Today, the company has been operating on the 3PL market for 10 years and has also made a full leap in e-commerce. In 2019, Nowaste Logistics opened one of the Nordic region's first and most modern omnichannel warehouses to multiple customers in fashion and confectionery.

A TA system, or transport administration system, is a system used by companies to book shipments with one or more carriers. It is also possible, among other things, to track shipments, print waybills and calculate freight.

With the Zhipster Control Tower, you can, in addition to all the functionality of the TA system, create your own carrier with shipping services. This allows you to create your own unique naming and sale of shipments to customers.

Through the shipping price lists in the system, your freight services are linked to the carriers of your choice and shipping markups can be specified as a fixed cost or percentage.

We met Marcus Hallberg who is transport manager at Nowaste Logistic to talk TA systems and why Zhipster Control Tower works so well in their business.

Marcus, tell us how to use the Zhipster Control Tower!

Zhipster Control Tower is part of our tool in our value chain towards the market when
We sell our logistics services. Our solution is based on ensuring everything from pick and pack to transport booking with an integrated carrier our customer has an agreement with. In short, we want to secure the entire order from the delivery process to the end user, both in terms of B2B or a B2C. This becomes possible with Zhipster's solution.

Indirectly, we use Zhipster Control Tower as a black box, which means that all activity takes place in our own ERP system, but in the background ZCT is used and it is a valuable support for the entire business.

How did you work before this system?

Very traditional with Excel files between departments. But quite early on, we realized the value of integrating a digital system support to support and streamline management and flow.

What are your biggest challenges today?

At the moment, we are working to integrate all new customers who want a third-party logistics management.

What does the future of logistics look like?

From our perspective, working with third-party logistics, the future looks very bright. More and more customers want to spend their time and focus on their core business, which means outsourcing of logistics is becoming more common. We also see that interest in automation has increased, which we can also offer.
