How does it feel to do LIA on Zhipster?
It's incredibly fun! The colleagues are absolutely wonderful to work with and my duties are very interesting. I have had the opportunity to try many new things which has sharpened my knowledge further.

What is your role at the company?
I am a data analyst which means that I collect, wash and analyze data that is then used to make better decisions in the business. My main project is to set up tracking in a system called Matomo where you have the system on your own server which means that the data never leaves Zhipster. I have also done some analysis to compare how our new server environment affects import times.

Your previous occupations?
I have previously worked in retail for 7 years and this is also where I got my eye for data analysis. My previous experience allows me to see things more easily from the client's perspective which makes my work easier.

What is the most fun thing about your work?
The most fun part is that I get to immerse myself in and work with so much interesting data and be involved in influencing decisions. I also appreciate that I get the opportunity to work with so many different tools such as SQL, Python, web analysis tools and more.

‍What might a typical workday look like for you?
Right now I'm working a lot on setting up tracking and analyzing data to bring business benefits to our customers. In addition to that, there may also be presentations of exciting things I found in my analysis as well as some work regarding GDPR.

What positive qualities do you have?
I pride myself on being very detail oriented and want to be sure of my cause before moving forward with a decision and at the same time get things done within a reasonable amount of time. At the same time, I think it is important not to lose efficiency in my work.

What does the future of data analytics look like?
Data analytics is something that is growing more and more as more companies get their eyes on the value of it. Making business decisions based on data instead of basing them on experience or gut feeling is the way to run businesses in the future. Otherwise, it can easily become the case that you think you are making the right decision but then get overtaken by your competitors. That being said, the future of data analytics looks very bright.

What do you prefer to do in your free time?
I prefer to spend my free time in the garage where I screw on my motorcycle or car but otherwise I like to read a nice book.

What's the best thing about Varberg?
The feeling of hustle and bustle that washes over the city in the summers and also the proximity to nature.
